ISME predicts 35,000 lay-offs by end of this year

The Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association has claimed that 35,000 workers will be laid off before the end of this year.

ISME said a survey it had carried out showed a significant fall in turnover and a deterioration in the value of Irish exports in recent months.
