Man arrested after €3.5m cannabis seizure

A 41-year-old man has been arrested after gardaí seized cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €3.5m0 in Co Dublin yesterday evening.

A 41-year-old man has been arrested after gardaí seized cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €3.5m in Co Dublin yesterday evening.

In a combined operation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and customs officials, 300 kilos of cannabis was found in a lorry at the Old Swords Road in Santry.

The drugs were concealed in ceramic tiles.

The man is being detained at Blanchardstown garda station under the provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.
