Bacon report criticises forestry cutbacks

A report on the forestry industry by economist Peter Bacon has found that Government cutbacks in forestry last year were totally unjustified.

The report, commissioned by the forestry industry and the Irish Farmers Association, showed that the State received a 159% return on all investment in the forestry sector.
