EU court to rule on Pat Finucane case

The European Court of Human Rights is due to issue its ruling today in a case taken by the widow of murdered Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane.

Geraldine Finucane has claimed that the RUC failed to carry out an effective investigation into her husband's murder.

She has also claimed that the circumstances surrounding the murder suggested that the British army and RUC colluded with the loyalist paramilitaries who carried out the killing.
