Pressure group to seek increased funding for cancer services

The Cancer Care Alliance is due to meet the Tanaiste, Mary Harney, later today to call for increased funding for cancer services.

The alliance claimed Ireland has a cancer epidemic and said the current level of funding is insufficient.

The CCA is an alliance of patients' groups, trade unions and national organisations.
