Armed garda presence in Limerick to be reviewed

The gardaí are reportedly planning to review the 24-hour deployment of armed officers in Limerick due to budget over-runs.

The armed garda presence was established following the murder of drug dealer Kieran Keane in January as part of an ongoing feud between two family-based criminal gangs in the city.
