Police in the North are investigating a public liability insurance fraud that may have affected up to 1,400 businesses, organisations and individuals.

The PSNI said as much as £3.5m (€5m) in premiums may have been lost due to the fraud. The figure equates to a potential uninsured risk of almost £1bn (€1.4bn), according to the PSNI.
