The Taoiseach says he is not prepared to rush into a decision on the future of the Flood Tribunal.

The Dáil has been told Justice Fergus Flood has written to the Government stating his intention to retire as chairman of the planning and payments tribunal.

Bertie Ahern said a consensus will have to be reached on where to go from here.
