PAC to continue scrutiny of Revenue Commissioners
The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee has called for continued parliamentary scrutiny of the Revenue Commissioners collection duties following publication of their latest annual report.
Fine Gael Deputy John Perry said that the revelation that the Revenue Commissioners have now collected over €700m from special investigations indicates that evasion of tax was more widespread than people had previously expected.
