Fine Gael transport spokesperson Denis Naughten TD has described as laughable the fact that toll booths on the new section of the Dublin to Belfast motorway will not accept sterling, in spite of the fact that much of the traffic using this road comes from Northern Ireland.

Fine Gael transport spokesperson Denis Naughten TD has described as laughable the fact that toll booths on the new section of the Dublin to Belfast motorway will not accept sterling, in spite of the fact that much of the traffic using this road comes from Northern Ireland.

"This situation is truly laughable, particularly when the Government claims to be committed to improving north/south infrastructure," said Deputy Naughten.
