A man is in hospital this morning after an apparent gangland shooting in Dublin.

A man is in hospital this morning after an apparent gangland shooting in Dublin.

The attack happened at a house on the New Cabra Road at around 9.30pm last night.

Two men wearing balaclavas are reported to have shot the man several times in the head and chest.

The victim has been taken to the Mater Hospital where he is understood to be in a critical condition.
