Nine people have received hospital treatment after a chemical spillage in west Dublin today.

Three drums of nitric acid spilled from the back of a truck in the Parslicktown estate in Mulhuddart just before 10am.

Nine people were admitted to James Connolly Hospital and they were treated for sore throats and breathing disorders.
