Irish officials on trade mission in Egypt

A team of officials from the Department of Agriculture has travelled to Egypt in an effort to boost confidence in Irish beef exports.

The Egyptian government reopened its market to Irish beef in late 2001, but the Government wants the African nation to ease its trading restriction to allow Irish farmers to exploit the market further.
