Transport Minister Seamus Brennan has vowed to close a legal loophole which apparently allows motorists caught on speed cameras to escape conviction by not turning up in court.

Transport Minister Seamus Brennan has vowed to close a legal loophole which apparently allows motorists caught on speed cameras to escape conviction by not turning up in court.

According to reports this morning, a person caught on speed cameras can only be convicted if they turn up in court and plead guilty because the camera cannot prove that they were driving the car at the time.
