SDLP slam unionists critical of equal policing

The SDLP says the equal recruitment of Catholics and Protestants to the police service of Northern Ireland is vital to the creation of a representative force.

The party's policing spokesman, Alex Attwood, is criticising unionist politicians who are sceptical of the 50-50 recruitment policy.
