Gardaí appeal for witnesses to assault in Dublin

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an assault which occurred in Dublin overnight leaving one man in a critical condition in hospital.

The attack occurred on Marlborough St just after 8pm.

A man in his 40s is now in critical condition in Beaumont hospital after suffering head injuries.

Gardaí are now looking to speak to a woman who was walking a buggy with a white woolen jumper and with brown hair.

She is thought to be in her twenties.
