Irish businessman favourite to lead UK Olympics bid
An Irish businessman has emerged as favourite to lead London's bid to host the Olympic Games in 2012.
Geoffrey Robinson, a Co Donegal native, is one of the most successful businessmen in Britain, where he has lived for several years.
He currently chairs the British Arts Council and is a former chairman of BSkyB and ITN.
He is one of three candidates still in the race to take charge of the London Olympics bid.
