PSNI quiz man over blackmail racket

A man has been arrested after police foiled a major blackmailing racket in north Belfast, it emerged tonight.

A police spokeswoman said the man was being questioned by officers from the PSNI’s Serious and Organised Crime Squad.

The police operation was mounted following reports of widespread extortion in the building trade.
