Belfast to elect new Lord Mayor

A new Lord Mayor will be elected tonight in Belfast and will replace the city's first ever Sinn Fein first citizen, Alex Maskey.

A new Lord Mayor will be elected tonight in Belfast and will replace the city's first ever Sinn Fein first citizen, Alex Maskey.

Mr Maskey has been widely praised for his year in office although both the Ulster Unionists and Ian Paisely's DUP refuse to nominate a deputy.
