Congratulations poured in today from Northern Ireland Secretary of State Paul Murphy for a Newry climber who has conquered Mount Everest.

Terence ‘Banjo’ Bannon from Newry joined New Zealander Jamie McGuinness as they reached the summit of Mount Everest, taking nine hours to climb the final 500 metres.
