June Bank Holiday airport traffic expected to rise 5%
More than 348,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin, Shannon and Cork Airports over the course of the June Bank Holiday Weekend, according to Aer Rianta.
In excess of 282,000 passengers will use Dublin Airport during this period, a 5% increase over last year's figure.
Two thousand flights will arrive and depart during this time including 330 charter flights, which have been added to the normal schedule.
Cork Airport expects to handle over 26,000 passengers over the holiday weekend, a 6% increase on the same period last year.
Over 40,000 passengers are expected to travel through Shannon Airport, also a 4% increase over 2002.
