Information relayed to gardaí in Co Donegal by alleged IRA informant Adrienne McGlinchey during the 1990s, was dismissed as “pure rubbish” by a retired detective today.

Former Detective Sergeant Tom Sreenan – giving evidence for a third day at the Morris Tribunal into garda corruption claims – said there were people within the detective division of the Donegal gardaí at the time in question who believed what they were being told by Ms McGlinchey.
