Rabbitte hits out at Government over third level fees
The Labour Party says it is regrettable that the Government has not terminated the uncertainty surrounding third level fees.
With just 10 days to go before the Leaving Cert exams begin, the Government came under further criticism at the first meeting of the newly-elected Labour Party National Executive, in Dublin, today.
Party leader, Pat Rabbitte says he does not expect, however, that the tensions between the Government parties over third level fees will result in a spilt in the Government.
"PD's are so embedded in this Government. I don't see them walking away - they don't really have a future outside Government.
"If kite-flying were an Olympic sport Minister Dempsey would be the world champion. He has flown a number of kites in the past and they've all come back to earth."
