The children's charity Barnardos has claimed that more than half of Irish children under the age of 12 are drinking alcohol.

The children's charity Barnardos has claimed that more than half of Irish children under the age of 12 are drinking alcohol.

The charity has also claimed that half of all girls and two-thirds of all boys in the 15 to 16 age group engage in binge drinking.
