USI slams abolition of summer jobs scheme

The Union of Students in Ireland has claimed that the Government's abolition of the students' summer jobs scheme will lead to a rise in unemployment over the next few months.

The USI claimed the move would add 15,000 students to the official unemployment figures this summer.
