Students to outline opposition to third-level fees
The Union of Students in Ireland is to hold a press conference later today to outline its opposition to Fianna Fail's apparent plans to re-introduce college fees.
The USI will be joined at the conference by opposition politicians.
The students are expected to accuse the Government of breaking a whole litany of promises relating to its review of third-level funding over the past three years.
They are also expected to claim that the Government's cutbacks in the Back to Education Allowance and the Summer Jobs Scheme have created a jobs crisis for students.
