Crumlin Hospital expected to make further bed closures
Crumlin Childrens Hospital has reportedly refused to rule out further bed closures due to budgetary constraints.
The Irish Nurses Organisation said the hospital's director of nursing could not given any assurances that beds would not be closed at a meeting between the two sides today.
Crumlin Hospital has already shut one 25-bed ward due to budget over-runs of around €1.5m last year and has warned that this year's deficit could exceed €7.5m.
