The Mater Hospital in Dublin is reportedly planning to lay off 163 employees due to cutbacks imposed by the Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Irishhealth.com said it had seen a confidential internal memo from the hospital's chief executive saying the hospital must shed 163 full-time jobs to comply with a staff ceiling imposed by the ERHA.
