NBRU defers strike action
The National Bus and Railworkers Union has deferred its plans to engage in industrial action over the Government's plans to break up CIE and privatise 25% of Dublin bus services.
The union's members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action, but the NBRU has decided to wait after receiving an invitation from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions to discuss the Government's privatisation plans with other CIE unions.
