The Chairman of the Revenue Commissioners Frank Daly has issued a warning to tax defaulters that they will be made to pay.

He was speaking at a tax planning conference in Galway.

He said that the commissioners had to make sure that all individuals met their tax responsibilities.

He stressed the importance of collecting tax due as opposed to what is offered as it accounts for 93% of the exchequer funding in the State.
