Call for SIPTU to enter radio row talks

Management at the Shannonside Northern Sound network is calling on SIPTU to enter talks in a bid to settle a two-week-old strike at the station.

The dispute centres on two redundancies which the company says are part of a restructuring plan.

The union claims they are not genuine redundancies, and wants the company to enter talks under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission.
