Hauliers seek meeting with Brennan

Hauliers are seeking a meeting with the Minister for Transport, Seamus Brennan, over his comments that trucks that are too large for the Port Tunnel.

It is reported that the trucks may be banned from the city centre.

The Irish Road Haulage Association insist that any prohibition on so-called supercube lorries would have serious financial consequences.

The association are adamant that they must use the trucks if they are to remain competitive.
