Funding increased for rescue services

The Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Dermot Ahern has announced an increase of 75% in funding for volunteer mountain and cave rescue teams.

The Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Dermot Ahern has announced an increase of 75% in funding for volunteer mountain and cave rescue teams.

The Minister says €175,000 will now be made available to the teams and that this will increase the effectiveness of the rescue services.
