500 jobs to go in NI

Almost 500 jobs are to be lost as a textile firm based in Northern Ireland is set to close.

Textile firm Desmond and Sons is shutting three factories in Tyrone, Derry and Fermanagh.

The closures come just months after two factories in Derry and Dungiven were shut, with the loss of 300 jobs.
