Govt under pressure to change energy policy

The Government is under increased pressure to start investing in renewable energy, and develop a transport policy that will reduce emissions.

Figures from the European Environmental Agency show Ireland's greenhouse gas emissions in 2001 were more than double the amount allowed under the Kyoto Agreement.
