Government to publish foster care guidelines

Junior Minister Brian Lenihan is due to publish guidelines today outlining national standards for foster care.

The guidelines are designed to promote quality foster care, to outline the rights of fostered children and to improve the training of foster parents and the policies of the health boards which manage the foster care system.
