High court rejects bid to stop US jets refuelling at Shannon

A retired army officer today lost his High Court bid to stop US military planes refuelling at Shannon Airport.

The court ruled that it was not possible to interfere with a decision made by the Government to allow stop-overs at the Co Clare facility.
