Martin launches SARS awareness campaign
The Minister for Health Michéal Martin has unveiled a package of measures to deal with the SARS crisis.
A public awareness campaign will get underway next week to highlight the dangers of the virus.
Public information leaflets will be distributed to all arriving passengers at airports, ferry ports and train stations.
The leaflets will ask people if they have visited countries where SARS is evident and will outline the symptoms.
Information desks will be established at ports of entry to provide assistance to visitors entering Ireland.
Also, advertisements will be placed in the national and local press to create greater awareness of the virus.
