Adams says breakthrough is possible

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has said a breakthrough is possible in the Northern peace process.

But, a challenge has been issued to the British and Irish governments by Mr Adams to release their proposals on the future of the Good Friday Agreement, saying they have nothing to achieve by withholding the blueprint.

He's insisting a deal is possible if there is the political will to do so, and if the dealmakers are prepared to move forward.

Officials in Dublin and London are closely scrutinising Mr Adams' speech, made at an Easter Commemoration ceremony in Belfast.
