Gardai name accident victims

Gardaí have released the names of the three people killed in two separate road accidents over the bank holiday weekend.

In Cork, a man died at Cork Regional Hospital after being hit by a car at Ballincollig. The incident happened at 1.30am.

He was named as 35-year-old Stephen Daly from Ballincollig.

In Co Tipperary, a man and a woman died when their cars collided at Lackamore in Newport at 7pm yesterday evening.

They have been named as Noel Quigley, aged 19, from Newport and 65-year-old Maria McCoy from Thurles.
