Man died from gunshot wound

A post-mortem on a man who was murdered in Dublin overnight reveal that he died as a result of a gunshot wound.

The 25-year-old man was shot in the arm shortly before 3am at a house on the Sillogue road in Ballymun.

Two men are believed to have forced their way into the house and attacked him with a sword and a gun.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital where he died a short time later. A murder hunt is underway.
