Talks are continuing in a last-ditch bid to rescue the British and Irish governments' plans to restore devolution in time for the May 29 Assembly elections in the North.

The Ulster Unionist leader, David Trimble, said he thinks the two governments' joint blueprint will not be published this week and is already looking to an alternative timetable, excluding Sinn Féin.
