'Culture change needed' to stop drink-fuelled violence

A major culture change is needed to wipe out drink-fuelled violence on Ireland’s streets, the justice minister said today.

Michael McDowell said although new legislation was important, he added that much of the responsibility lay with parents and individuals to crack down on binge drinking.
