Gardai investigate assault in Dublin

Gardai are investigating the serious assault on a man in Dublin overnight.

The 26-year-old man was attacked when he was walking on the Longmile Road at 12.30am last night.

He was taken to St James' hospital.

Gardai are following a definite line of inquiry.
