Man in court on pub gun murder charge

A 35-year-old man was appearing in court this morning accused of murdering a man at a Dublin pub earlier this month.

A 35-year-old man was appearing in court this morning accused of murdering a man at a Dublin pub earlier this month.

He is charged with the fatal shooting of Declan Griffin at a pub in Inchicore on April 5.

Mr Griffin – who was wearing a bullet-proof vest and carrying a gun when he was shot – was known to gardaí in connection with drug dealing.

He was shot at the Horse and Jockey pub and later died at St James’ Hospital.

A man was arrested and was appearing today at Dublin District Court.
