Tanaiste announced new rules to protect employees

Tanaiste, Mary Harney, has announced new rules that protect employees in the event of a company or business changing ownership.

Under the new rules an employee will retain the same rights in the event of a change of ownership. Dismissals for economic, technical or organisational reasons are unaffected.
