Anti-war demo planned for Shannon

Another demonstration for Shannon is planned for later today, as anti-war protestors keep up the pressure on the Government over its policy on Iraq.

Activists from the Peace and Neutrality Alliance, the Irish Anti-war Movement and the NGO Peace Alliance will gather in the town centre from 2pm before setting off for the airport.

Chairman of the Peace and Neutrality Alliance, Roger Cole, says that because of the Government's stance, Shannon will now play a key role in future conflicts.
