Galway students look for clarity on fees

Student representatives from NUI Galway are due to meet Education Minister Noel Dempsey today to seek clarification of his reported plan to reintroduce third-level fees.

The Union of Students in Ireland has said that returning to the old system would put university education well beyond the reach of many prospective students.
