DUP: Action, not words, needed from IRA
An IRA “statement or stunt” over the coming days to rescue the Good Friday Agreement would not be enough to secure unionist support, a DUP hardliner claimed today.
Just hours after US President George W Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Taoiseach Bertie Ahern called for an end to paramilitarism in Northern Ireland, Democratic Unionist MP Nigel Dodds said his community would never again be duped by an IRA statement.
