Safety Council reports fall in road deaths

The National Safety Council has reported a 28% fall in the number of people killed in road accidents so far this year compared with the same period last year.

The National Safety Council has reported a 28% fall in the number of people killed in road accidents so far this year compared with the same period last year.

The Council said 76 people have died on Ireland's roads so far this year, compared to 106 between January 1 and April 4 2002.
